We resell two types of GeoTrust certificates, QuickSSL and TrueBizID.
QuickSSL is appropriate for most sites, and validates only the domain name. Since most users don't check the certificate anyway, that's usually the cheapest solution. To get the certificate, you have to confirm control of the domain by clicking a validate link sent to either one of the registered domain contacts or to any of some generic email addresses (root, hostmaster, admin) at the domain. Ordering a QuickSSL certificate takes just minutes, and you can have your certificate active the same day. We charge $89 per year for QuickSSL certificates, with discounts for multiple years.
TrueBizID gives you the right to use a validation seal on your website with your company name, and your company name is listed in the cerficate, as well as your domain name. Ordering a TrueBizID takes 1-2 business days, and costs $119 per year, with discounts for multiple years.
